Tomoko Takanashi (photo) Tomoko Takanashi (b. Tokyo), who completed her studies at the Musashino Academia Musicae in Tokyo with Akiko Kitagawa, came in 1996 to Denmark to study the piano music of Carl Nielsen with Rosalind Bevan at the Carl Nielsen Academy of Music Odense. Additionally she studied accompaniment with Rodolfo Llambias and chamber music with Jens Schou and has participated in masterclasses held by pianists such as Mirta Herrera, David Burge, Ruvim Ostrovskij, and Paul Badura-Skoda. She graduated from the Diploma Class in 1997 and played her debut concert from the Soloist Class in 1999 with the Odense Symphony Orchestra.

Since her final exam in Japan in 1991 Tomoko Takanashi has given many concerts in Japan and Denmark, as well as toured in various countries such as Romania, Poland, Italy, Germany, and Hungary with recitals and as soloist with various orchestras. Besides a broad repertoire ranging from the Baroque to the twenty-first century, Tomoko Takanashi also includes works of Danish composers in her recitals abroad, this is always received with a great interest from the audience. In addition she has made various artistic projects in collaboration with other artforms such as painting, ceramics, and dance.

Her CD, "The Light of Carl Nielsen" (Classico Records, CLASSCD 339), and "The World of H. C. Andersen" (Classico Records, CLASSCD 619/2) have been highly acclaimed by the critics. Tomoko Takanashi's musical activities in Denmark and in Danish music and culture in general have been introduced to a wide circle of readers in her homeland through articles in several Japanese magazines - which has also printed a number of her own essays. Her revision and supervision score "H. C. Andersen's Fairy Tales - Ludvig Schytte", and "Humoresque-Bagatelles / Five Piano Pieces - Carl Nielsen" have been published by Edition KAWAI.

Tomoko Takanashi (f. i Tokyo), som tidligere har studeret på Musashino Academia Musicae i Tokyo hos Akiko Kitagawa, kom til Danmark i 1996 specielt for at studere Carl Nielsens klavermusik hos Rosalind Bevan på Det Fynske Musikkonservatorium. Desuden har hun haft Rodolfo Llambias og Jens Schou til akkompagnement og kammermusik, samt deltaget i masterclasses med pianister som Mirta Herrera, David Burge, Ruvim Ostrovskij og Paul Badura-Skoda. Hun tog diplomeksamen 1997 og debut fra solistklassen 1999 med Odense Symfoniorkester.

Siden sin afsluttende eksamen i Japan i 1991 har Tomoko Takanashi givet talrige koncerter i Japan og Danmark og turneret i bl.a. Rumænien, Polen, Italien, Tyskland og Ungarn med recitals og som solist med orkestre. Foruden et bredt repertoire som spænder fra barok til det 21. århundrede medtager Tomoko Takanashi også værker af danske komponister ved sine koncerter i udlandet, hvilket overalt har vakt stor interesse fra publikum. Derudover har hun lavet forskellige kunstneriske projekter i samarbejde med andre kunstarter herunder billedkunst, keramik og dans.

Hendes CD udgivelser "Carl Nielsens Lys" (Classico Records, CLASSCD 339) og "H. C. Andersens Verden"(Classico Records, CLASSCD 619/2) er blevet meget flot modtaget i pressen. Tomoko Takanashis musikervirksomhed i Danmark og interesse for dansk musik og kultur i almindelighed er blevet præsenteret for en større læserskare i hendes hjemland gennem artikler i flere japanske magasiner - som også har udgivet en række af hendes egne essays. Hendes revision og supervision af noderne "H. C. Andersen's Fairy Tales - Ludvig Schytte" og "Humoresque-Bagatelles / Five Piano Pieces - Carl Nielsen" er udkommet af Edition KAWAI.
